To the Participants of the Vienna International Conference on theme "From the Interfaith and Inter-Civilizational Cooperation to Human Solidarity"

Dear Participants of the conference!

        I sincerely greet you, the Organizers and Participants of the International Conference on theme "From the Interfaith and Inter-Civilizational Cooperation to Human Solidarity", held in Vienna, Austria.

         This prestigious conference with the participation of heads of influential international organizations, prominent scientists and clerics, and public representatives is dedicated to discussion of topical subject of mutual relations of religions and national cultures among the current social and political processes in the world and the inter-civilizational dialogue.

The World peace and peaceful coexistence, propagation and promotion of human values ​​in the world are of the most important issues today. Challenges of the modern era put in this area serious tasks in the face of Humanity. It is no coincidence that in the Republic of Azerbaijan, where ethnic and religious diversity is protected as national wealth and equal conditions for free activity for all religions have been created, the multiculturalism and tolerance is one of the priorities of the state policy. Our country provides comprehensive support for harmonious relations and ideas of human cooperation, and promotes numerous global initiatives in this area. The holding of the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue and International Humanitarian Forums, the VII Global Forum of the Alliance of Civilizations, and the Summit of World Religious Leaders in Baku is an indication of the appreciation of the international community of Azerbaijan's activity in this area. We have decided to hold another international event - the 2nd Baku Summit of World Religious Leaders, which will make a significant contribution to the expansion of cooperation among different religions and civilizations and creation of mutual trust in the global environment.

I highly appreciate the support provided by Austrian party for the organization of this conference held the initiative of our country, and the conditions created for the conference. The joint holding of this event is also a clear example of the Azerbaijani-Austrian relations, friendship and cooperation between our countries and peoples.

I believe that the Vienna International Conference, which serves goodwill, will contribute to constructive discussions, promote human values, mutual understanding among peoples, inter-civilizational dialogue and cultural-moral integration.
